Saveology.com™ Makes Donation to Help Our Soldiers Overseas
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – December 19, 2008 – Saveology.com™, a consumer comparison-shopping portal focused on lowering the cost of living for households by providing valuable cost savings on known brands and services, makes a donation of $500 to the 4th annual St. Andrew Council of Christian Women (CCW) Christmas military phone card drive. All money donated was used to purchase phone cards to send to our soldiers serving overseas.
Exceeding last years goal of $3000, this years phone card drive was a tremendous success as $4000 was donated for this worthy cause. With the money raised, St. Andrew Council of Christian Women was able to purchase 400 phone cards to send to soldiers whose names were submitted to CCW as possible recipients. In addition, the phone cards were sent to Major General Dennis Hejlik, Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations, to personally deliver cards through the pentagon to various locations.
Saveology.com participated in the military phone card drive project for the second year, and made a $500 donation to help provide the soldiers with phone cards for the holidays. “I can only imagine the dedication of our soldiers overseas and their families missing them during the holidays.
