Donors Gave 31 Units and Help Touch the Lives of 93 Local Citizens
Fort Lauderdale, FL - September 29, 2009 -- Saveology.com®, a consumer comparison-shopping portal focused on lowering the cost of living for households by providing valuable cost savings on known brands and services, commends its “Local Heroes” who continually support the annual blood drive as part of the Saveology.com community focus.
Over 93 staff from the Florida Headquarters office signed up to become “Local Heroes” by donating to local blood banks. The Big Red Bus parked in front of the Saveology.com® Florida Head Quarters building, as our human resource team coordinated volunteers from our various departments utilizing their lunch and break time to be part of this generous effort.
Special offers were provided to Florida’s Blood Centers participants, which included an appreciation gift bag providing discounts and gift cards for local entertainment venues and retail stores and the customary juice and cookies.
Saveology.com continues to hold an annual blood drive in an effort to give back to our local community. We look forward to continuing to support this effort at our Florida location. Additionally, our human resource department is also planning to coordinate a blood drive at our New Jersey location in the upcoming year.
