Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Steve Smith joins Saveology.com® following a strong career focused on developing various leading comparison-shopping sites for nationally known brands.

Prior to joining Saveology.com, Mr. Smith served in numerous leadership roles at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Corporation (NYSE:HPQ), and leading global technology services provider; Sabre, now Sabre Holdings® Corporation, the world's #1 computerized travel reservation system; and International Business Machine Corp. (NYSE:IBM). 

Mr. Smith’s most recent roles were Chief Information Officer at Idearc Media, a world leading print and online directory publisher and content provider for communications products and services, and Travelport, a provider of travel industry solutions.  In these roles Mr. Smith collaborated and led the technology efforts for some of the web’s most known brands to include Superpages.com®, Orbitz®, Travelocity®, CheapTickets®, among others. 

Mr. Smith’s career includes roles in technology leadership, marketing, sales and product management.  His employment has brought him across the globe, living and working in Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

He began his career with the U.S. Army rising to the rank of captain. During his Army career, he served in various capacities eventually closing his active duty career as a paratrooper with the 18th Airborne Corps.  Mr. Smith is a graduate of Chaminade University and Syracuse University and holds an International M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

At Saveology.com, as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Smith’s core responsibilities will entail overseeing all aspects of technology to include application development, infrastructure services, and product innovation.
